Recently, some people in Orissa have come out with cudgels against a particular website (www.cafepress.com) that is apparently offering women's underwear featuring the image of Lord Jagannath. While on the surface of it, the whole thing might sound very ironic for those of us who are inclined to be cynical (one can think of people saying phrases like, "It takes devotion to remove those, eh!"), the flip-side of it is the media attention that it's getting.
I have scanned a bunch of newspapers and this probably only made the frontpage of one newspaper. Obviously, it didn't feature on any internation news-site, but even in our own national news-sites, I could only find it on one newspaper (Indian Express, I believe!). Compare that with say the time when those Danish cartoons were published - there was such a outpouring of rage then. The Danish PM was told to not visit India (by the strong-man Manmohan, probably on the orders of his mistress).
Anyway, I see nothing wrong in printing images of gods on anything (afterall, women's underwear are nothing un-holy; if you believe that, you're a big blot on humanity!). I would understand if it were something offensive like printing those images on condoms or toilet-paper or something like that; but women's underwear? Big Deal! This exposes our idiotic beliefs - so underwear is unholy? The whole reason behind our demoting sex as something dirty and nasty is due to the combined invasions of Islam and Christianity - they exported their concepts of "sin" and "morality", which have resulted in our becoming an overly prudish race!
I say print Jesus, print our Indian gods, and unfortunately since no image of Allah exists (so print a printless form) on anything. It's time we realized that gods are made in our image, not us in theirs! We should get over this whole-business of getting our sentiments hurt, and instead try to develop a more business mindset. The people opposing cafepress should sue and settle something to the effect of making cafepress donate a huge sum to the maintenance and development of the Jagannath Temple. That is what Krishna would have done, but we are foolish and will never think of any such remedy!

An imploration for Sharia?
The recent ruling in Saudi Arabia is an excellent attempt at providing justice for the masses. When a person is gang raped, it is of course the victim's fault. Why do people fail to understand that simple fact? The excellent Saudi Arabian judge who provided suitable justice to the masses by punishing the victim to receive 200 lashes, was too lenient in my opinion. He should have just ordered her throat slit open in deference to the most fantastic of laws - Sharia!
I pine and long for the day when the law of Sharia envelops the complete world. Our friends in the Taliban and the Saudis have it so right. What is all this rubbish about educating women, and treating them as equals? One should be quick to delegate them to work at the home, and work for the master of the house. Also, imagine not having the expense of buying "haraam" products like Shaving Blades and Razors and Shaving Foam. One does wonder how Barbers would survive then, but then their expertise with blades can be utilized while decapitating infidels. The adult film industry can also be instrumental in introducing a new form of media - Taliban Porn. All one can espy in it is beards and burkhas! Fantastic idea! Think of the titles - "Girls Gone Wild - Osama Style", "The Bearded Hooker", " How I met your Camel", "Infidel Babes - Wet and Most Wanted", "Main Osama Tu Kafir Kudi", etc etc.
Sharia forever! The Taliban and Saudis have the correct idea - treat women like dirt, and impose ridiculous laws in the name of the "religion of peace". Imagine having the impunity to rape someone, and be content that the victim needs to produce four witnesses in order to prove that there was a rape. Wow, the joy of it!
Saudi and other fundamentalist Muslim men are the luckiest bastards alive on Planet Earth; they do what they want, and justify it in terms of their religion. What I would give for that kind of status, oh man!
But then, I regret that even if I did end up converting to the "true religion", I would never be truly accepted by the Saudis or the Talib. After all, I am the denizen of the country that has continued to be under slavery for 660 years continuously! The first part of our slavery began with messrs Ghauri and Ghazni, followed by British slavery, finally terminating in slavery to the Nehru clan.
A truly heartfelt wish from me for all Saudi and Talib men - next birth (yes, you spineless SOBs, you will be reborn!) you should be reborn as a woman in your godamned country! Then obviously, some sick SOB will rape you, and it will be divine justice!
But god obviously doesn't exist, if he/she can actually allow these miserable countries to flourish with impunity! So, in the face of evidence like that, all I can say is that let the Sharia begin!

Fabulous Indian Communists
I had to write this down somewhere! This blog is going to be like a pensieve into which I will offload certain thoughts of mine! Ah, how I would love having a pensieve! But we have to make do with the pensieve we have not the pensieve we want! Or so said Rumsfeld...or he might have said something similar!
So, judging from comments that the Congress supremo Sonia is making, it would appear that the Indo-US Nuclear deal is off! Fantastic! The Indian Communists have done their duty and proven their loyalty! Unfortunately, it would appear that their loyalty is more towards their Chinese masters.
Our precious Indian communists are more worried about their ridiculous idealogy! Against US Imperialism? But Chinese Oppression is ok, eh? "Think red" went the communist! Unfortunately, they take that literally! The streets of communist ruled states in India are usually red: red with the blood of the opposition; red with the blood of unrealized potential; and red with the blood of evolution! The only thing separating the Indian communist from a cro-magnon man is that the latter is at least a hundred times more evolved!
Consider their ridiculous position: in 1998, they opposed the Nuclear tests that India conducted on the basis of "World Peace"! Hah! Laughable to say the least! Since when did Communism actually favor peace? Hint hint... Never! Now they opposed the nuclear deal on the grounds of "National Security". Laughable, isn't it? But the trouble is that this time as always the laugh is on India!
Despite all the ill-will targetting Bush, I will have to say this: W has been the best US President as far as India's interests are concerned! Clinton imposed Sanctions on India; Bush removed them! Bush created an India Specific nuke deal; the commie traitors of ours have made sure that this will never come into being!
Yeah, let's wait for the US Elections to finish; Hillary can then come into power and impose another fresh round of sanctions on our country. The Commies will be happy!
All hail the Country! The future super-power of the world! But oops, how will we ever be a super-power, when we can't even be a regional power! And for this we have to squarely place the blame on OURSELVES! It's not the commies fault that we keep allowing them to win the damn elections! It's our fault! The opposition: BJP has also displayed themselves to be the spineless fools that they are! They're only interested in hunting down poor lovey-dovey couples! Yeah, that's the thing to do, when you're too thick to get a love interest of your own! Hunt down the ones who do!
God bless the commies! But oops, they're atheist, so I don't think they'd give a shit!
